Bang Nguyen is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Quantitative Economic History at the University of Bayreuth since August 2020. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from New York University in May 2020

His research interests are in Political Economy and Economic History. His research so far has focused on electoral competition, voting behavior, the effect of media in elections, and the impact of political connection on firm value.
