Biography

Richard Franke is a postdoctoral researcher at the chair of Quantitative Economic History (VWL VII) at the University of Bayreuth. Before joining the University of Bayreuth he was a researcher at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW). He received his PhD from Kiel University in 2021.

Research Interests

Richard Franke works at the interface between long-run regional economic development, economic history and international economics. His current research focuses on the effect of market access on regional economic growth.
